About the Position

Lygos is seeking an engaging and motivated Senior Customer Success Representative to join our growing organization. As a member of the new and quickly growing Commercial team, this person will report to Senior VP of Business Development and manage customer inquiries, qualify sales leads and process sales orders. In this role, the Senior Customer Success Representative will have the opportunity to build and implement processes from the ground up, and engage with our growing list of customers seeking sustainable solutions. They will also get to experience working with a stellar team of industry leaders in a collaborative environment.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer inbound inquiries, customer questions and requests for information through various channels including website, email and phone
  • Screen and qualify new sales opportunities in Lygos’ CRM system generated through both digital and traditional marketing programs
  • Develop and implement a customer onboarding and order fulfillment process
  • Ensure fulfillment and on-time delivery of customer purchase and sample orders of Lygos products
  • Provide a positive and seamless customer experience


Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 5+ years of customer service and customer success experience, with at least 1 year of experience from the chemicals industry
  • Experience with order fulfillment
  • Experience and strong understanding of CRM and ERP systems (Hubspot and / or Netsuite is a big plus) 
  • Detail-oriented with experience effectively managing complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills


Nice-to-haves (but not required):

  • Familiarity with Hubspot and Netsuite
  • Inside sales experience managing sales inquiries and inbound leads
  • Experience setting up an order fulfillment process


Compensation and Benefits: 

Lygos offers highly competitive salaries, stock options and benefits, including medical and dental insurance, unlimited paid time off, and 401(k).

Salary Range: $85K - $120K - This represents the present low and high end of the Company’s pay range for this position.  Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location, skill, experience, and performance.

Location information:

Company is headquartered in Berkeley, CA - This position can be remote.  Must be available to work standard business hours in Pacific Time.
