VP / Director of Business Development

We are working to replace expensive, environmentally hazardous, and harmful petrochemical production processes used today with safe, renewable routes using microbes.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to cultivate and execute new business partnerships within Lygos’ target markets. As the Vice President or Director of Business Development, you will be scouting new areas where Lygos’ platform and technology is ripe to be a disruptive technology, and consistently introducing that technology to prospective clients and closing funded partnership deals (JDAs, JVs, government) to accelerate commercialization.
Given your industry experience, you know the key players, keep up with emerging trends, and can leverage your strong network to create an effective market strategy and sales pipeline. You also excel at building relationships and have a proven track record of success. You’re driven by results and take a proactive approach to maximizing new and existing business opportunities. And, most importantly, you see the bigger picture: you’re excited about Lygos and eager to help us achieve our mission of producing sustainable products and enabling new brands to be established.
