Technical Program Manager at Miroculus

Miroculus is looking for a motivated, hands-on, and analytical Technical Program Manager to coordinate projects across different teams. In this role, you will work alongside key stakeholders including our internal engineering, science, manufacturing, and commercial teams, as well as our external contractors and partners. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the successful development and delivery of our novel digital microfluidics platform. This position will be based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters.

Position Summary

    • Establishes a solid project framework and creates functional specs, project and release plans, and roadmaps. Makes sure all stakeholders understand and commit to project schedules.
    • Collaborates cross-functionally with every team lead in the company on the creation and prioritization of objectives and success criteria for projects key to the development of a program.
    • Proactively anticipates risk and drives issues to closure in order to maintain timelines. Identifies, documents, and escalates risks.
    • Drives the planning, tracking, and proper documentation of our programs.
    • Coordinates technical reviews; documents and keeps track of the feedback so it is incorporated in the project within the timeline proposed.
    • Manages communication and coordinates with external contract engineers and service companies, setting clear expectations on deliverables within project timelines.
    • Helps to build a positive work environment based on accountability, collaboration and communication.
    • Actively participates in Design Reviews as a part of Design control and maintains proper Design Control documentation.
    • Communicates cross-functionally across the organization on project status, documentation, budget and timeline control. Runs efficient meetings.
    • Provides feedback into core product teams to influence roadmap and strategy.

Qualifications

    • Has a good systems understanding to manage internal and external parties.
    • Has technical knowledge and hands-on experience with the tools and methods used in system development.
    • Enjoys being hands-on and is capable of communicating with different teams with diverse backgrounds.
    • +5 years of experience as a TPM, engineering leader, product manager (technical domain), technical support or related discipline in the medical device or life sciences industries.
    • Proven ability to manage internal and external resources for delivering the milestones in a fast paced environment.
    • Excellent program/project management skills – including scheduling, budgeting, resource management, etc.
    • Good knowledge / experience with Microsoft Project, and/ or other project management tools.
    • Strong people skills with proven ability to communicate with and coordinate cross-functional internal and external teams and establish credibility among colleagues, vendors, and executive management.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems.
    • Share a passion for our mission to advance science and improve lives faster, together.

Bonus Qualifications

    • Experience with consumables, materials and microfluidics systems.
    • Understands document designs and processes (Design Requirements, Design Reviews, Drawings, Analysis, Testing, ECOs).
