Job Summary

The Sr. Director In Vitro Technologies role provides overall leadership and vision for the In Vitro Technologies portfolio and is responsible for meeting revenue targets.  The Sr. Director IVT is also responsible for setting the internal and external strategic direction of the portfolio, while ensuring adequate sales pipeline and closed deals to meet revenue targets.  In collaboration with the IVT Functional Lead, technical team, and Project Management, the Sr. Director IVT will ensure that projects run smoothly and deliver to plan.  This position reports to the Commercial General Manager.

Responsibilities

·        Meet revenue targets of the In Vitro Technologies practice area

·        Define strategy and tactics to grow revenue within your market segment

·        Collaborate with In Vitro Technologies Functional Lead to set hiring strategy and acquire key talent to support growth targets

·        Oversee the In Vitro Technologies portfolio.  In close collaboration with Project Sponsors, manage revenue generated from existing Backlog, continuation of existing business and new business. 

·        Oversee projects within your market segment to ensure they are running according to budget, schedule, and revenue plans while ensuring client needs are met.  Close interaction with Triple Ring’s functional groups (Project Management, Engineering, Science) and client will be required

·        Close deals and interact with project management, execution teams, finance/accounting and facilities groups to ensure successful project kickoffs

·        Build & maintain trusted partnership position to expand existing client opportunities (repeat business)

·        Interact with Business Development Directors (BDD) to ensure effective articulation of Triple Ring’s capabilities and how those capabilities match client needs

·        Collaborate with BDD Team and Marketing & Communications, define opportunistic areas of market growth and IP generation for unmet market needs

·        Collaborate with BDD team to develop sales targets and strategies - identify, qualify and close business within target segment

·        Collaborate with the Co-Development Steering Committee & General Inception, source exciting strategic opportunities, support due diligence and transition funded projects into Triple Ring

·        Attend conferences, attract partners and implement industrial & academic collaborations to ensure appropriate profile within the industry segment

·        Stay abreast of market and technology trends in your market segment and maintain status as resident expert

·        Participate in proposal generation, resource planning and budgeting activities as needed

·        Collaborate across Triple Ring’s organization to drive relevant business and process improvements

·        Help to build the overall Triple Ring team

·        Line management of Business Development staff possible



Education, Experience and Skills

·        BS/BA degree required in engineering or applied science.  Graduate degree in business or technical discipline a plus.

·        Significant experience in Life Sciences markets/technologies

·        10+ years of Life Sciences experience in product development or R&D

·        Ownership of revenue and/or management of P&L

·        Experience with external sales of professional services

·        Strong listening skills, excellent written and oral communications, clinical curiosity required

·        Ability to forge and maintain solid relationships internally & externally

·        Ability to develop trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders across the industry

·        Strong team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others

·        Ability to travel 20-40% time
