Field Applications Scientist (West Coast) at Miroculus

Miroculus is looking for an experienced Field Applications Scientist with a strong background in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technical expertise to help us support customers using our novel digital microfluidics platform.


Position Summary:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with researchers across academia, industry, and government, serving as the primary point of contact for pre- and post-sales support of Miroculus digital microfluidics technology.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers via phone, email, or travel to customer sites.
  • Relay voice of customer and market trends back to the Miroculus development and product marketing teams.
  • Assist in the generation of application data and presentation of that data at customer sites, tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Assess customer requirements for novel applications and assist in prioritization of customer projects.
  • Work with customers to troubleshoot and optimize validated applications.



  • BS in Biological Sciences
  • Minimum 3 years experience in NGS-related customer support
  • Expertise in DNA/RNA sequencing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of your time
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team, including Marketing, Sales, and R&D


Bonus Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Biological Sciences
  • Experience with NGS bioinformatic analysis
  • Previous NGS FAS experience
