We love fresh approaches, we value process validation, and we are looking for a highly motivated Sr./Research Associate in Protein Sciences.

 

The Protein Science team is expanding and looking for a research associate team member to assist senior scientists with their growing experiment requirements. In this position, you will help to perform lab-based experiments and activities to develop therapeutic drug candidates.  You are self-driven, highly organized, focused, and enjoy working in a creative and dynamic team environment. You have the opportunity to work cross-functionally between our discovery scientists and informatics team to turn microbial genetics into medicine.

 

How You’ll Impact the Company:

  • Responsible for screening, characterizing, and engineering therapeutic drug candidates.
  • Develop and apply new assay technologies/methods for drug development and studies on protein-protein interaction.
  • Responsible for good record tracking and maintaining a detailed electronic lab notebook.
  • Dependent on experience level, design and perform experiments focused on molecular biology, cell biology, and protein chemistry.
  • Collaborate with senior scientists to create and develop new procedures.

 

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in a related science with lab experience and knowledge or, or experience with the basic techniques or methods required by the position.
  • Must have hands-on experience on ELISA, Western blot, SDS-PAGE, DNA and/or protein library preparation, PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, vector designing and constructions.
  • Some of the following experiences would be plus: Protein purification, flow cytometry, antibody engineering, biophysical/biochemical protein characterization.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team or independently when needed.
  • Time management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in maintaining laboratory notes, reports, and following SOPs.
