And we’re looking for a Senior Scientist to join our discovery oncology team 

 

We’re on the search for a highly motivated, experienced Senior Scientist to join our discovery team and the Oncology program. We are looking for someone who is excited about working in an interdisciplinary team to discover and develop novel therapeutics for cancer, lead the scientific development of assays from concept to pre-IND and drive the biological understanding of novel therapeutics in our early pipeline. Here, you will be a vital contributor and will make meaningful contributions to strategy and development of the overall program.

 

How You’ll Impact the Company

 

  • You will provide scientific and technical leadership into the oncology projects, harmonize the activities to support the program.
  • You will lead the development of assays related to oncology through design, execution, and optimization.
  • You will communicate effectively in a team environment to keep the program moving forward.
  • You will lead, facilitate and document project team meetings, and management of external collaborators and CROs.
  • You will mentor and lead Scientists, Research Associates and Senior Research Associates toward fulfilling program goals.
  • By staying up-to-date on relevant science and research, you will make meaningful strategic contributions to the direction of the overall oncology program.

 

What You Bring to the Role

 

You have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in biology, pharmacology, or related discipline with at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in immunology, oncology, cancer biology and/or related disciplines, including at least 2 years in drug discovery.

  • Experience in establishing mechanistic in vitro, ex vivo immune cell-based assays with primary immune cells from human and relevant animal species.
  • Expertise in the design, validation, and execution of relevant in vivo models for mechanistic and efficacy studies.
  • Hands on experience with multi-color flow cytometry and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of flow cytometry experiments, and complex cell-based functional and signaling/biochemistry assays
  • Experience with antibody drug development is a plus
  • Familiarity with the analysis and interpretation of genomic data such as NanoString, RNASeq, and scRNAseq and working knowledge of CRISPR technologies is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative, fast-paced research environment
  • Ability to support multiple projects and meet ambitious goals and timelines
  • Ideally, you have experience in microbiome research and/or drug development.
