ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

The Assignment…

We are looking for a world class molecular biologist/genomics scientist to join the R&D Team as Senior Scientist or higher, depending on experience. The successful candidate will bring their knowledge of molecular biology and NGS library prep techniques to play a key role in developing exciting new multi-omic single cell products to market. The position will be critical in moving challenging new product concepts through our R&D pipeline.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None currently, but in the future may direct research associates in either a direct or matrix management arrangement.

  1. A PhD in Genomics / Molecular Biology / Cell Biology / Biochemistry or associated fields with at 3+ years of industry or postdoctoral experience.
  2. Hands-on experience producing and analyzing RNA-seq data.
  3. Experience with a range of genomic, molecular, and/and cellular biology techniques. Examples include NGS library prep such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, genome editing; gene expression technologies such as arrays or real-time PCR; cell culture experience handling primary mammalian cells, tumors, or other tissues.
  4. Experience with single-cell technology and/or microfluidics platforms would be a definite plus, but not required.
  5. Knowledge of NGS methods and data analysis principles.
  6. A good understanding of general principles of chemistry and biochemistry.
  7. Excellent skills in communication, documentation, and time management.
