Carmot Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative medicines for the treatment of metabolic diseases, cancer, and inflammation. Carmot has developed a transformative drug discovery approach, Chemotype Evolution, that we apply to identify superior therapeutics internally and in collaboration with industry partners. Chemotype Evolution is a proprietary technology that overcomes major limitations in existing drug discovery approaches, providing us with a unique opportunity to tackle challenging disease targets. Our lead compound CT-868, a dual modulator of the GLP-1 and GIP receptors is progressing toward Phase 2 clinical trials and has the potential to be best in a new class of treatment for type 2 diabetes, obesity, and NASH. In addition, we have developed a broad metabolic pipeline and a portfolio of wholly-owned programs targeting class-B GPCRs and deubiquitinating enzymes that are progressing toward the clinic.
As a result of our strong scientific progress and clinical pipeline, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced pharmacologist with strong translational skills to lead our pharmacology group and translational science.
