Intern, QB3 Executive Mentorship & Talent Program at QB3

QB3 is seeking a motivated, efficient intern who will work with an experienced business leader to build a program that aids start-up entrepreneurs developing world-changing bioscience and medical technologies.  More information about the program here:   https://qb3.org/executive-mentorship. Need

QB3 is a life science/medical device business accelerator based at UCSF Mission Bay. QB3's mission is to help bio/medical technology entrepreneurs launch and successfully build start-up companies. To foster that success, QB3’s Executive Mentorship Program matches entrepreneurs with experienced business mentors.  The Executive Talent Program matches CEOs with professors, clinicians and researchers who want to commercialize their technology but do not want to leave their university position. The QB3 team member leading the Executive Mentorship & Talent Program ("QB3 Program Lead") needs assistance from an intern in several areas. The goal is to expand the program by leveraging the QB3 Program Lead.

Intern Duties

Duties will include the following:

  • Organizing the QB3 Program Lead's database of mentors and companies
  • Tracking outcome data from existing entrepreneur-mentor pairings and CEO placements, in an organized fashion
  • Aiding the QB3 Program Lead in identifying potential mentors and CEOs
  • Scheduling meetings and calls between the QB3 Program Lead and entrepreneurs, mentors and CEOs
  • Screening resumes of potential mentors and CEOs


Qualifications

Desired qualifications include:

  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Current student at university or community college
  • Detail-orientated, strong research skills
  • An interest in business and entrepreneurship
  • An interest in connecting people to foster successful companies
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with senior-level executives, a plus.
