The Partnering team is looking for a Partnering Executive to draft and negotiate collaboration agreements with our university partners and manage our collaborations. As a Partnering Executive you will contribute specialized knowledge and experience in technology transfer, licensing, or contracts to solve complex challenges and build sophisticated partnerships. The position provides excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Draft and negotiate collaboration and other standard agreements
  • Evaluate risk exposure for different agreements
  • Advise on contractual and business terms
  • Track agreement terms for compliance purposes
  • Build and maintain relationships with key personnel in academic research, technology transfer offices, pharmaceutical and biotechnology research, and business development

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-5 years experience in technology transfer, licensing within a research organization or technology company
  • Knowledgeable about basic intellectual property and contract law
  • Outstanding skills in reasoning and presenting a point of view logically and persuasively
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Creative in finding solutions to meet the needs of all parties
  • Engaging and professional communicator, in writing, on the phone, and in-person
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to track numerous details
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or computational sciences
  • Preferred: PhD in a scientific discipline, MD, JD, or patent agent certification
