Summary: Senti Bio is seeking talented synthetic biologists to contribute to our early stage projects, including the development of novel technologies, implementation of highly efficient design-build-test processes, and generating pre-clinical data on key disease indications using engineered human cells. A successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively across multiple projects as part of an integrated team to meet milestones. Applicants should have current knowledge of molecular biology and cellular engineering tools and methods as well as a mindset to deliver robust and practical solutions for long term commercial impact. Design and optimize therapeutic genetic circuits as a member of disease area specific project teams
Work closely with the synthetic biology team to improve efficiency, data management, and process improvement of the company's scalable design-build-test-learn platform
Drive independent projects to advance synthetic biology tools and components for use in therapeutic products
Stay current with advanced molecular methods, scientific literature, and participate in ideation and decision making meetings
Provide expert support for experiment design and assay development to the broader scientific team

Ph.D. or equivalent with expertise in synthetic biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, or cell engineering At least 2 years of mammalian cell engineering, preferably for therapeutic applications Prior experience in a startup or industry role in therapeutic drug development a plus Proficient with cell culture, cell analysis, and flow cytometry experimentation and analysis Experience in mammalian synthetic biology is a plus, such as synthetic gene circuit design, modern DNA assembly strategies, and quantitative cell circuit characterization Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional team
