Clinical Laboratory Associate at uBiome

uBiome is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Associate to support production workflow in our clinical laboratory. The Lab Associate adheres tightly to established turnaround-times while maintaining highest quality of test results, and maintains best practices as defined by SOPs as well as CLIA and CAP guidelines at all times. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, you will take on other tasks as assigned to help the production line and overall laboratory. In this position, you’ll become part of the team that is trying to show people what they’re made of. This position requires long hours of standing and repetitive movements in the production lab. Work hours may be extended during busy periods.


What you’ll do:

Participate in a variety of other essential laboratory activities, including
Sample accessioning
Reagent qualifications
Inventory management
Procedure writing
Inspection preparation
Test validations
Equipment maintenance
Review of equipment calibration and batch records
Participate in the development and validation of new assays
Technology transfer from development to CLIA
Identify and report problems that may affect test performance or reporting of test results
Train new personnel in laboratory procedures
Maintain open and timely communication with other lab personnel


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in a physical, chemical, or biological science
Demonstrated ability and/or knowledge to perform molecular laboratory techniques, GLP/GDP, scientific principles, and quality control procedures
Basic computer skills including proficiency using both Mac & PC operating systems, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively with the entire team
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred
