As a Lab Automation Technician, you will be responsible for providing advanced level expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and calibration service on the laboratory equipment (Liquid Handlers, Freezers, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operation of essential instrumentation and electrical equipment. You will build, repair, and maintain custom liquid handling robots to be used in our R&D and Clinical labs. You can be an night-owl or an early-bird, both are welcome in our flock.
What the role entails:
Calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs pharmaceutical laboratory equipment instrumentation such as liquid handlers, PCR machines, etc.
Troubleshoot and proactively maintain automation equipment
Perform IQ/OQ/PQ on new liquid handling robots, troubleshoot issues with current robots
Provide ongoing support for lab personnel to make sure that robots operate at peak efficiency
Utilizes strong mechanical and electrical skills in order to complete assignments
Keep accurate maintenance records in Jira and our LIMS database
Interface with cross functional teams to achieve end goals
What we are looking for:
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Electronic circuit design, layout, and assembly knowledge
Mechanical aptitude, ability to use electric and manual hand tools
Biotech, pharmaceutical, Lab automation providers, or clinical-laboratory experience
Technical proficiency and experience in automation and systems integration for the life science industry; especially with robotics and liquid handling systems
Coding experience (Linux command line, Python, etc.)
Working knowledge of Git
