In this position, the successful candidate will apply her/his skills and expertise to support Atreca’s oncology therapeutics program by characterizing the activity of anti-tumor antibodies using cell based in vitro screening approaches on panels of tumor cells. In particular, the successful candidate will manage screening efforts to identify tumor cell binding antibodies generated from cancer patients using Atreca’s IRC™ technology. Additional duties include supporting mechanism of action studies by analyzing tumor infiltrates from our in vivo rodent tumor models. The successful candidate will draw upon her or his background in assay development to troubleshoot existing assays as necessary and to develop additional assays as needs and opportunities arise. The position will be embedded in a very dynamic and motivated team dedicated to the discovery of novel, antibody-based cancer therapies.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and apply assays to characterize antibody binding in vitro and in vivo and to support in vivo MOA discovery
Manage the screening of Atreca anti-tumor antibodies on tumor cell line panels, report data, and participate in the selection of antibodies for pipeline advancement
Analyze and organize data from in vitro cell-based assays
Manage the growth and maintenance of tumor cell lines
Provide management to reports
REQUIREMENTS

PhD with 3-5 years post-doctoral research experience in related field plus 1-3 years industry experience or PhD in related field with 3-5 years experience in industry.
Strong background in Immuno-Oncology or Immunology
Absolutely Required: Experienced and skilled in high-throughput flow cytometry and multicolor immune cell subsetting
Required: Proven expertise in cell and plate-based assays and assay development
Experience maintaining multiple tumor cell lines
Experience programming and operating automated liquid handlers
Experience with antibody-mediated cytotoxicity assays (e.g. ADCC, ADC, CDC) is a plus
Experience managing reports
Must have excellent organization, planning skills, and the ability to work under timeline in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
