Description

We are seeking an outstanding purchasing/facilities manager who will oversee all purchasing, inventory as well as facilities management. You will partner with the research and finance teams to help build and maintain efficient processes and procedures. The successful candidate will also manage processes that support laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

Establishing processes and procedures for efficient procurement and inventory management. Participate in projects related to procurement reengineering and/or support system enhancements and upgrades.
Oversight of facilities use, needs and planning. Physically participate in day-to-day activities related to facilities, inventory, stockroom and other processes.
Establishing and/or maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors. Oversee customer service support, problem resolution, inquiry responses, special handling and non-supplier based invoicing and quality control.
Vendor negotiation and selection.
Placing orders with vendors and confirming pricing and availability.
Confirming purchase orders and ETA with employees that generated requests for purchases.
Overseeing and managing all supplies, services maintenances, contracts.
Reporting of purchasing trends, supply usage, budget actuals and contract performance.
Coordination with research teams during process of new affiliate purchase; develop consolidation tasks; manage assignments.
Work cross-functionally with finance, R&D and engineering to support laboratory management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience in Biotech. laboratory purchasing and contracts.
3-5 years’ experience with ERP, Purchasing, and/or Inventory Management Systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Detail orientated and ability to work with large product numbers.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of individuals and companies, both on and offsite.
Project management experience, preferred.
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
