Senior Research Associate, Preclinical Pharmacology – Discovery Biology at Nurix

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior research associate to support Nurix’s mission of targeting E3 ubiquitin ligases in the areas of oncology and immunology.

Primary Functions

The ideal candidate will have expertise in small molecule PK/PD and efficacy studies in oncology and inflammatory disease models. This individual will work closely with our drug discovery project scientists on late-stage lead optimization of novel compounds to support dose and schedule optimization, demonstrate in vivo efficacy, and characterize ex vivo immune cell function. The candidate must be self-driven, organized, able to work well with project scientists, and able to thrive in an exciting environment in a rapidly-growing company.

Qualifications

B.S. in immunology, biology or related field with 8+ years of industry experience
In vivo expertise with tumor models and/or autoimmune disease models required
Expertise in FACS-based immune cell phenotyping
Skilled at ex vivo functional assays for T cells, NK cells, and/or macrophage
Experience with formulation of small molecules and rodent PK/PD studies preferred
Excellent hands-on in vivo skills: IV, PO dosing, tumor implantation, blood/tissue collection, etc.
Ability to manage projects with CROs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work productively in a highly dynamic environment
