In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the business development function within Fluxion’s biopharma team. You will be one of the key business builders, out meeting potential customers, sharing Fluxion’s liquid biopsy platform and capabilities and building relationships for collaborations with Fluxion for drug development and commercialization.
You will use your existing network to share the use and applications of ERASE-Seq ctDNA-based sequencing. You’ll make new connections through networking, introductions, conference attendance and other creative approaches.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders in drug development companies to build partnerships using Fluxion’s liquid biopsy platform. You’ll guide and educate potential partners, whether biomarker researchers, translational medicine scientists or clinical development teams, from the basics to fully-fledged partnerships using ERASE-Seq for clinical trials and companion diagnostics.
As well as being externally focused, you’ll help shape business development strategy and marketing, and you will be well-connected internally to address customer needs, working with alliance management and across functions to solve problems, find solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Groups you’ll interact with include Product Development, Research, Bioinformatics, Marketing, and Finance.
You have deep experience in biopharma, sequencing or diagnostics, ideally a combination of all three. You’ve developed and closed successful collaborations, and brought in repeat business from multiple customers.
You have experience managing and growing teams, developing the best in people.
You can successfully build relationships with biopharma customers. You can tease apart customers’ needs and motivations, and can successfully influence them. You have strong presentation skills, and have a good strategic and analytic skillset too.
You have a deep understanding of biopharma, oncology, diagnostics, genomics and clinical trials. You are a go to person for insights into the science, medicine and competitive landscape.
You are entrepreneurial and self-starting, pro-actively chase opportunities, but also work with the team to bring the best of the company to a customer.
You are motivated to grow the whole business, not just your area, and see the broader team succeed. You can prioritize and focus on the important, not just the urgent.
